▶ Changed the term of the supply contract signed in October last year with QMED, a partner in the U.S. ▶ Plans to enter the Japanese market in earnest following supply with Osstem in Korea
Plasmapp, a bio-plasma deep-tech company, announced on the 1st a change in the period of the purchase contract for ‘medical low-temperature plasma sterilizer product (model: STERLINK U510)’ worth KRW 1.8 billion signed with QMED, a partner in the United States, in October 2023.
The first shipment was made in March, and the second shipment was completed in June, and is rapidly growing in the U.S. veterinary market. The change in the contract period is due to a delay in preparing both domestic and export-oriented models for Japan in preparation for mass production, and the company will fulfill 100% of the contract for the remainder of the contract period, which is expected to help further solidify Plasmapp's position in the U.S. market.
In Korea, Plasmapp has signed a supply agreement with Austem for the STERLINK U510 product. In the Japanese market, the local partner is in the process of obtaining Japanese medical device approval, and full-scale sales in Japan are expected to begin in the third quarter of this year.
"We have secured growth momentum through the rapid market expansion of STERLINK U510 at home and abroad, which will be our Cash Cow business," said Youbong Lim, CEO of Plasmapp. "We are confident that we will further expand the market through global medical device certifications this year and create a quantum jump in sales."
